The Indian Army is inviting online applications for Agniveer posts for the recruitment year 2023-24. The recruitment drive for the Agniveer posts will be held under Agnipath Scheme 2023. Interested candidates can apply online from February 16 to March 15, 2023 through the official website - joinindianarmy.nic.in.

The Army will conduct the Agniveer Combined Entrance Exam form 17 April, 2023 onwards.

With this massive recruitment drive, the Army aims to fill these posts: Agniveer General Duty (GD) (All Arms), Agniveer (Tech) (All Arms), Agniveer Technical) (Aviation & Ammunition Examiner) (All Arms), Agniveer Clerk/Store Keeper (Technical) (All Arms), and Agniveer Tradesman (8th & 10th Pass) (All Arms).

Indian Army Agnipath Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria

It is to ne noted that the Army will recruit the Agniveers for the period of four years as Agniveer General Duty, Agniveer Technical, Agniveer Technical (Aviation/Ammunition Examiner), Agniveer Clerk/ Storekeeper Technical, Agniveer Tradesman 10th Pass, and Agniveer Tradesman 8th Pass. Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply for the recruitment drive.

Indian Army Agnipath Recruitment 2023: Age Limit

Those who born between October 1, 2002 to April 1, 2006 are eligible to apply for the Agniveer recruitment drive. The minimum and maximum age limit for the recruitment drive (male/female) is 17.5 and 21 years, respectively. The Indian Army has also relaxed the upper age limit from 21 years to 23 years for the reserved category candidates.

As per the official notification, candidates must be Class 10 pass to apply for the Agniveer posts

For this recruitment drive, good physical health is mandatory. Male candidates must have a chest expansion of 5 cm.

Minimum physical standards of the regions given above, minus 1 cm chest and 2 Kg weight. Height criteria would be at par with Agniveer GD as relevant to the region.

 

Tattoo

Tribal Community: Those belonging to tribal community are permitted to have a permanent body tattoo ( on any body part) as per their customs and traditions. Such candidates will only be permitted on producing the following two certificates:

(i) Self-certification certificate to be signed by the candidates is attached as Appendix ‘D’ (Notification PDF).

(ii) Certificate of belonging to a tribal community and permissibility of permanent Body Tattoo(s) to be signed by DC/DM or SDM of the District/Tehsil where the tribe of the candidates is presently settled is attached as Appendix ‘E’ (Name and designation of the concerned official must be clearly mentioned).

Religious Sentiment: Permanent body tattoos of religious sentiment are only allowed of the below body parts: On inner face of forearms i.e from inside of elbow to the wrist and on the reverse side of palm/back (dorsal) side of hand. It is to be noted that the tattoos on any other body part except the above mentioned body parts shall not be accepted and candidates will be barred from the further selection process.
