IPL 2019 SRH vs RR: Hyderabad pulled off the highest run chase of IPL 2019 to beat Royals by 5 wickets

Sunrisers Hyderabad pulled off the highest run chase of IPL 2019 to defeat Rajasthan Royals by 5 wickets. Hyderabad finished the game at 201-5.

After winning the toss Rajasthan Royals opted to bat first and finished the innings at 198-2. Ajinkya Rahane and Jos Buttler opened the batting for the men in pink. Jos Buttler was the first man to go as Rashid Khan bowled him out for 5 off 8. Sanju Samson came in and notched up a 100 run partnership with skipper Ajinkya Rahane.

Rahane was picked up by Shabhaz Nadeem after he scored a fantastic half-century. Rahane scored 49-ball 70 before he was caught by Manish Pandey at long-on. Sanju Samson smashed Hyderabad bowlers all-round the park as he scored a blistering century. Samson finished at 55-ball 102.

Ben Stokes and Sanju Samson finished the innings for Rajasthan Royals as Stokes complimented Sanju by scoring 16 off 9. Bhuveneshwar Kumar proved to be the most expensive bowler for Hyderabad as he concieved 55 runs from four overs at an economy of 13.75.

Rashid Khan and Shabhaz Nadeem were the only bowlers to pick up wickets for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both of them got one wicket each.

David Warner and Jonny Bairstow opened the innings for Sunrisers Hyderabad and they notched up their second 100 run partnership in just their second game together. David Warner was the first batsman to go after demolishing Rajasthan’s bowling attack. Warner scored a fantastic 37-ball 69 before he was dismissed by Ben Stokes.

Jonny Bairstow too played an amazing inning to score 28-ball 45 before he was dismissed by Shreyas Gopal and was caught by Dhawal Kulkarni. Kulkarni dropped a catch of Bairstow in the previous over of Stokes which he made up for in the next over.  

Jaydev Unadkat picked up skipper Kane Williamson’s wicket for 10-ball 14, while Vijay Shankar was picked up by Shreyas Gopal for 15-ball 35. Shankar was looking good as his inning included 3 sixes and 1 four before he was dismissed.

Manish Pandey was dismissed by Shreyas Gopal for just 1 run. Yusuf Pathan and Rashid Khan finished it for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Pathan scored 12-ball 16, while Khan scored 8-ball 15.
