Was it Jeff Bezo's girlfriend who leaked their personal chat?
After the Guardian claimed that Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’s mobile phone was hacked by Saudi prince in 2018, a new report has brought out into the open that his girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez, was responsible for leaking their personal chats to her brother who then traded them to the National Enquirer.
The National Enquirer then according to reports used the personal chats for its article about Jeff Bezos’s affair, as stated by Wall Street Journals on Friday.
In compliance with the report, federal prosecutors in Manhattan have proof pointing at Sanchez, Jeff Bezos’s girlfriend, laid out personal chats to her brother Michael Sanchez, including a flirtatious message from Bezos. Sanchez then reportedly traded these chats to the National Enquirer, the WSJ report stated.
In a story issued in January 2019, the National Enquirer had quoted the text from 10th May 2018 to make a point about Bezos’s extramarital affair with Sanchez. A 3rd July, 2018, message sent from Sanchez’s phone to her brother’s includes a picture of a shirtless Jeff Bezos.
Earlier, the Amazon CEO had accused the National Enquirer’s owner of trying to blackmail him with the threat of publishing intimate pictures he allegedly sent to Sanchez unless he said in public that the tabloid's reporting on him was not politically motivated.
The messages, which were scrutinize by the WSJ, were one of the meterials turned over to federal prosecutors as part of their probe into whether American Media Inc, attempted to extort the Amazon’s CEO.
The US attorney's office has also been probing if Jeff Bezos's phone was hacked.
As claimed by a report by The Guardian, the mobile phone of Jeff Bezos was hacked in 2018 after he received an coded message from the WhatsApp account of Saudi Crown Prince. Five months later, Washington Post Jamal Khashoggi was killed, with Prince Salman being the main accused in the case, revealed an turbulent report by The Guardian.
Bezos’s security consultant, Gavin de Becker, indicated in an article for the Daily Beast that Saudi Arabia might have had a hand in the Enquirer’s reporting on Jeff Bezos. The claim reappeared this week after a forennsic audit commission by Bezos claimed that his phone was hacked using a WhatsApp account linked to Saudi Prince.
