Trump's lawyer accuses porn star, Stormy Daniels of violating confidentiality agreement 20 times
US President Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen has claimed that the porn star, Stormy Daniels has violated a confidentiality agreement at least 20 times and he has the right to seek at least $20 million in damages from her.
He made this claim on Friday. In a public legal fight, the lawyers filed two motions at the US District Court in Los Angeles.
In the legal fight, Stephanie Clifford( stage name Stormy Daniels) has sued Trump to get out of an agreement that she had struck to be paid $130,000 to keep mum about the affair between Trump and her that started in 2006.
Till date, Trump has maintained distance from this case, handing over the legal fight and media handling on his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen.
This legal suit has following the anticipation that the show "60 Minutes" was planning to run a segment featuring Clifford and her lawyer on March 25.
In series of tweet Avenatti, lawyer of Clifford called the suit another bullying act.
In a tweet, the lawyer said, "The fact that a sitting president is pursuing over $20M in bogus 'damages' against a private citizen, who is only trying to tell the public what really happened, is remarkable. Likely unprecedented in our history. We are not going away and we will not be intimidated."
