Sichuan Airlines pilot "Sucked Halfway" out of window at 32,000 feet as windscreen breaks

Sichuan Airlines Airbus's co-pilot was sucked halfway after a cockpit windshield blew out forcing an emergency landing.

A pilot who survived the accident and hailed hero on social media Captain Liu Chuanjian said that the flight was at an altitude of 32,000 feet when there was a deafening sound that tore the cockpit. There was an immediate loss in cockpit pressure and temperature drop. Captain Chuanjian shared, "When I turned and look over cockpit's right windshield was gone and my co-pilot was sucked halfway out of the window,"

He also added that pressure reduced in the cockpit and everything was floating and equipment wasn't working.

The co-pilot was pulled back as he was wearing a seatbelt. He suffered minor injuries, scratches and a sprained wrist. As per the Civil Aviation Administration of China, all the 119 passengers were marked safe. An investigation into how the incident occurred is underway.
