Shocking: The way this Latvian fireman saves a woman falling to her death

Fireman Tomas Jaunzems of the State Fire And Rescue Service Of Latvia became a hero after saving a woman who jumped off an apartment in an attempt to suicide.

In the thrilling video, Tomas is seen leaning out of a window to save a woman who was jumping from the floor above.

A spokesperson of the State Fire And Rescue Service Of Latvia said, "During the weekend we received a call to a multi-apartment building where there was a suspicion that a person was going to jump from a fourth-floor window,” 

 Jaunzems said saving people’s lives and homes were his motivation, “I have been working in State Fire And Rescue Service Of Latvia for almost five years.”

While Tomas Jaunzems and crew reached the property, they found that the woman was about to jump so they had to do everything quickly. So, they prepared for a grab.

Accepting that such a grab was impossible, he said, “It was the first time I have done this, we haven’t been practising this kind of people rescue works."
