Seven Indian engineers abducted by gunmen in Afghanistan's Baglan: Report
According to the local media of Afghanistan, seven Indian engineers working in Afghanistan have been abducted. Two officials at the Indian embassy in Kabul confirmed the kidnapping of the engineers, all working for the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), news agency Reuters reported.
Although, the government is trying to confirm the report. The government is trying to confirm the reports, sources said. The engineers were working on a power plant in Baghlan province, located in north Afghanistan, reported news agency Reuters.
Along with the seven Indian engineers, Afghan driver is also abducted by unknown armed men while travelling to a government-run power station on Sunday, Reuters quoted a police spokesman.
The reason behind the kidnapping is still unknown or whether a ransom has been sought, Reuters reported.

"We are aware of the abduction of Indian nationals from Baghlan province in Afghanistan. We are in contact with the Afghan authorities and further details are being ascertained," a spokesperson of the foreign ministry said.
Most of the time abductions in the war-torn country are linked to Taliban, but till now the group didn't take any responsibility.
In 2016, an Indian aid worker was kidnapped in Kabul. She was released after 40 days.
