Meet Achmad Zulkarnain, a unique photography lover with innovative skills
Meet 24-year-old Indonesian shutterbug Achmad Zulkarnain, who's unlike any other human in the world. Born without arms and legs, this young photographer has made his name across the world through his extraordinary work.
As he walks confidently with his camera, he has come up with some unique methods to operate the camera. He does this by making use of his face, mouth and the extra bit of his skin to snap the photographs. He even uses a laptop for editing his photographs.
His friends call him Dzoel.
Initially, Dzoel started it as a hobby and when people saw his photography, they started offering him work. He has also started his workshops on photography and a business to promote his photography.
“I don’t want people to see my pictures and think who I am but I want people to see my creativity”, Dzoel told Al Jazeera, holding his camera with pride.
To move around, Zulkarnain drives a custom go-kart-style vehicle designed and built by him with the help of his friends and family.
Looking at his Instagram page, he has around 30,000 followers. His Instagram page is filled with some of the stunning pictures he has taken. “How many of us are thankful to God and how many of us do not complain and do something positive in life?,” Dzoel writes in one of his Instagram posts. While looking at his Instagram page, we can see him posting some of his pictures with captions like, “Never give up”, “I know, I can’, “Key to success is to keep the motivation”, “Perfection depends on your perspective”, ‘Nothing is impossible”, and many more. These captions say it all!
He is pursuing his law degree while continuing to work as a photographer.
“If you want to be the best, erase the thought of being disabled. You don’t have to be perfect, to be the best of what you do,” says Dzoel.
