Indonesia: 2016 Starbucks suicide attack mastermind Aman Abdurrahman sentenced to death

A key accused of 2016 Jakarta Starbucks cafe suicide attack, Aman Abdurrahman sentenced to death on Friday. He is the leader of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also known as ISIS) group. When the sentence was announced, he kneeled and kissed the floor.

It was after deadly church attacks in the country's second-largest city, Surabaya last month that the fear of more attack has escalated.

In last month bombings, 26 people were killed, that included 13 attackers. The attacks involved two families including young children aged 7.

During the trial, the prosecutor charged Abdurrahman of giving instruction from prison for the last month attacks in Indonesia.
