Earthquake Alert: 5.0-magnitude quake hits southeast of the Loyalty Islands

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted southeast of the Loyalty Islands at 07:08:07 GMT on Thursday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 22.9273 degrees south latitude and 171.6768 degrees east longitude.
