Biden-Trump Debate After-Effect: Biden Says 'I'm Not Leaving'

New  Delhi: US President Joe Biden is a busy man these days. Well, this is normal when you are getting so close to election day on November 5, 2024. But what is keeping Biden occupied is not normal - he is using all his energy to fend off reports and stories that he is weighing the option to quit the presidential race.

A fundraising email sent out by the Biden-Harris campaign tried to reinforce the claim that Biden was not quitting. “Let me say this as clearly and simply as I can: I'm running,” Mr Biden said in the email, adding that he was “in this race until the end.”

Earlier, Joe Biden had lunch with Vice-President Kamala Harris at the White House. After the lunch, Kamala Harris reiterated her support for Joe Biden.

The debate with Trump is proving to be a nightmare for Joe Biden. Verbal blanks, a weak voice, and some jumbled-up answers reinforced the perception that Biden is not suitable - physically and mentally - to lead the United States of America for another four years.

Earlier, Democrats tried to dismiss Biden's health issues as mere social media fake buzz created by Trump supporters. But the TV debate debacle left very little room for speculation.

This has rightly created panic in the Democratic Party, which is seeing the widening gap between Trump and Biden's approval ratings for the next US President.

What was earlier kept behind the veil by the Democratic Party is now visible to all. Biden's health was a major issue, but the Democratic Party kept denying it.

Now, they are faced with a question that should have been answered long ago. Perhaps, the voters in the United States have made up their minds, but the Democratic Party is still looking for a suitable candidate.
