Widow woman, man brutally thrashed by villagers for their alleged illicit relationship; incident caught on camera
A horrifying incident has been reported in Mainpuri’s Nagla Gurbaksh village where a widow and a man, were publicly shamed for having a relationship.
Villagers have tonsured their heads, blackened their faces and also made them to wear a garland of shoes. Also, tried to disrobe the woman.
The heinous incident took place on Friday night.
The video of the whole incident also went viral on social media. Somehow, police managed to rescue the widow woman and the man.
On the basis of the complaint filed by one of the victims, the police arrested three persons on Saturday.

While the remaining accused were still at large. According to the locals, the duo was in relationship for the past three years. Villagers also said that the widow woman and the man were caught in ‘compromising position’ on Friday night after which they were thrashed and publicly shamed by the locals.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against 16 people, including 10 unidentified women, under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 499 and 500 (defamation), 269 and 270 (negligent act likely to spread infectious diseases), and section 506 (criminal intimidation).
