West Bengal horror: Man rapes 35-year-old tribal woman

There seems to be no end to crimes especially when it come to women. In a horrifying incident, a 35-year-old tribal woman was raped by a man who was allegedly in a relationship with the victim.

The accused man also belongs to the Adivasi community. The alleged sexual assault occurred late on Sunday night in Purba Bardhaman district, said police.

According to a report by the Indian Express, the accused was taken into police custody after the victim recorded her statement with the police. The woman's husband has passed away and she has a child from her marriage.

As maintained by police official, they have registered a case and an investigation is in progress in the matter. Quoting sources, the report said the woman was raped while she was returning home from a village market.

The accused man dragged the victim to an isolated area and sexually assaulted her. The victim was later found near a canal by local residents.

The woman victim was rushed to block health centre and later shifted to a hospital by police.

In another incident, a 17-year-old boy lost his life after being stabbed by one of his school juniors in Delhi’s Okhla area on Friday.

The crime happened after the victim, a Class 11 student, used foul language against the mother of the accused boy, a Class 10 student.

After school hours on Friday, the accused, stabbed the victim several times. The police later arrived at the crime spot and shifted the injured boy to a medical facility, where he succumbed to his injuries.
