With sunny and dry weather in Rajasthan for the past few days, the citizens are experiencing heat in the daytime and cold at night.
According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the current weather pattern will remain through November 3 after which the state's temperature will start to drop even further.
The weather department said a new Western Disturbance will arrive in the Western Himalayan region on the night of October 31, due to which, rainfall, snowfall, and hail are expected in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, regions. This change in weather will also dip the temperature in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh.
The effects of the Western Disturbance will be felt in Rajasthan from November 3. Fog is also expected to increase in the state as the air still carries moisture. The weather will be good for Rabi crops in the plains.
Two western disturbances will be active in the Himalayan region in the coming days. The first Western Disturbance will be active from October 31 and will be active till November 2. On November 4, another Western Disturbance is expected to get active and will continue till November 6. Due to these disturbances, hilly areas will witness snowfall.
Night temperature drops by 2 degrees
During the previous week, several cities in Rajasthan experienced a dip in nighttime temperatures of up to 2 degrees. Sikar has recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 11 degree Celsius in the state. Fatehpur-Sikar reported 11.7 degrees Celsius.
The minimum temperature recorded in Alwar city was 12.6 degrees Celsius, 12.9 in Churu, 13.6 in Baran, 13.9 in Karauli, 14.2 in Chittorgarh, 14 in Sangaria-Hanumangarh, 14.6 in Dabok-Udaipur, 14.6 in Banasthali-Tonk, 14.1 in Bhilwara, Nagaur The minimum temperature recorded was 15.1, Pilani-Jhunjhunu 15.1, Dholpur 15.7, Kota 15.9, Sri Ganganagar 16.6, Jalore 16.8, and in Dungarpur 16.9 degrees Celsius was recorded.
