Weather Update: Moderate to heavy rain likely in parts of Rajasthan; check IMD forecast here

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that some areas of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota and Udaipur divisions of east Rajasthan may receive light to moderate showers for the next four-five days.

However, the weather department has also cleared that the monsoon has passed through some areas of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions today.

Another low pressure area remains over the Bay of Bengal and the Odisha coast, and is expected to move west-northwest towards Odisha and North Chhattisgarh in the next 48 hours, according to the MeT office. This system is expected to bring light to moderate rain with thunder to some parts of Bharatpur, Jaipur, Kota, and Udaipur divisions of East Rajasthan over the next four to five days.

On the other hand, there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Bharatpur and Kota divisions on September 22-23.  There is also a chance of light rain from Thursday to Saturday in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, East Bikaner, Nagaur, and Churu districts of western Rajasthan.
