At a time when the whole nation is aggressively fighting to curb the spread of the coronavirus, a shocking incident has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya where the people placed under observation at a quarantine facility organised an alcohol party and later got involved in a drunken brawl.
The incident surfaced when the security guard at quarantine facility observed an altercation that broke out between the isolated men who were in an intoxicated state and called the police. On receiving the information, the police team instantly arrived at the spot. The team was shocked when the saw the village head and his son partying with the quarantined men. Ayodhya District Magistrate Anuj Jha ordered the officials to conduct an investigation and register an FIR against the offenders.
As per a report of News18, the incdent happened at a government school which has been made into a quarantine facility amid coronavirus outbreak in Milkipur Tehsil’s Chaudharypur village panchayat. Initial investigation has confirmed that the village head and his son organised an alcohol party at the quarantine facility and also served chicken.
According to the police the village head Amarnath Yadav organised that party for his close friends who were placed under observation in the facility. However, after getting drunk, the men got into a brawl and physically assaulted each other.
The quarantined people complained that the police thrashed them brutally after arriving at the isolation facility leaving two people injured.
