Uttar Pradesh: One killed and four injured in clash between two groups

One person was killed and four others injured in a clash between two groups over a minor issue in Kushahar village under Sahatwar police station area here, police said.

The family members of Shyamnarain Verma (42) were sowing seeds in their field Saturday when rivals Laksham and some others reached there and alleged that Verma was trespassing into his side of the land, SP Devendra Nath said.

They also attacked Verma and his family members with batons, injuring five persons of whom Verma later succumbed to injuries, the SP said. The deceased's brother has filed an FIR against nine persons and efforts were on to arrest them, he added.
