Uttar Pradesh: Girl allegedly throws acid on boy in Unnao’s Bhawani Ganj area

In a horrifying incident, a girl allegedly threw acid on a boy on Monday. Reports suggest that the incident happened in Unnao’s Bhawani Ganj area.

In accordance with a tweet shared by news agency ANI, ASP Unnao informed that the duo were neighbours and were in touch with one another since several months. The ASP further added that the boy has been taken to a hospital, while the girl was being interrogated.

"We've come to know that they had been in contact since several months and were neighbours. Boy was sent to hospital, girl is being questioned. Action will be taken as soon as we receive complaint", the official said.

Earlier, a similar incident was reported from Haryana where a class 8th student at a government school in Gurugram suffered serious injuries on his face and body after a fellow student threw acid on his face.
