UP: Two youths sexually assault 10-year-old boy after offering him sweets

Two youths have been arrested for allegedly harassing a 10-year-old boy at a village in Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh.

Reportedly, the accused also recorded the incident.

The appalling sexual assualt incident took place under the territorial jurisdiction of Anola Police Station.

According to the complaint, the minor boy was playing with his friends when the two accused identified as Vishal (21) and Vikas (19), approached the boy and then took him to an isolated place outside the village after offering him sweets.

The two youths have allegedly sodomized the minor boy and filmed the entire assault scene. They also threatened the boy to not reveal it to anyone.

According to a report by The Times of India, after reaching home, the 10-year-old boy narrated his ordeal to his father following which the family approached the police and registered a complaint against the accused on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Police have arrested the accused and booked them under the POCSO Act and Section 377 (unnatural offences) of the Indian Penal Code.

On the other hand, police also recorded the statement of the minor boy in the presence of his father under Section 161 under the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973.

Police are interrogating the accused and will put them in jail soon, Anola Police Station SHO Suneel Singh said.
