UP Shocker: Husband, stepson kill 65-year-old woman for not cooking food after argument
In a shocking incident, a 65-year-old woman was killed by her husband, the stepson, and two others.
The police have arrested four people on Sunday in connection with a woman’s murder case in Uttar Pradesh’s Pratapgarh district, police said.
The victim was identified as Baskali Devi. The body of Devi was found in the Patti area on January 28, Additional Superintendent of Police (East) Surendra Dwivedi told reporters.

The accused men have been identified as Jhunnilal Prajapati (husband), Ajay Prajapati, Pradeep Kumar Prajapati, and her stepson Vijay Kumar Prajapati.
Jhunnilal was twice married and Vijay Kumar is his son from the first wife. While Baskali Devi was his second wife.
What happened?
According to the news agency PTI reports, Baskali and her husband used to fight each other.
On January 27, the couple had involved into a heated argument following which the 65-year-old woman didn’t cook food. This angered Jhunnilal, who killed the woman with the help of his son and other men. They dumped the body of Baskali near a canal bridge.

Later, they also informed ‘Dial-112’ that Baskali has been abducted and also spread the rumours on social media.
On Sunday, the police have arrested the four accused and the main accused Jhunnilal also confessed to the killing. Meanwhile, they all have been sent to jail.
