UP shocker: Attackers use alcohol-based sanitiser to burn journalist, his friend
In a shocking incident, the attackers allegedly barged into the house of the journalist and burnt him alive along with his friend.
The incident took place in Balrampur district of Uttar Pradesh. According to police, the journalist and his friend were found burnt in mysterious condition last week. As per the timesnownews.com report, both of them were allegedly set on fire by using an alcohol-based sanitiser.
The attackers had allegedly entered the house of the 37-year-old deceased and burnt him alive with his 34-year-old friend at his village in Balrampur.
As per media reports, the journalist used to work for a Lucknow-based newspaper.
According to NDTV online, the three accused, including the son of the village head have been arrested in connection to the murder of the journalist and his friend.
Reportedly, the 37-year-old scribe had suffered severe burn injuries and was rushed to a hospital in Lucknow where he died during treatment. While his friend succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

Before the death of the journalist, he reportedly told doctors that he had been writing a story against the alleged corruption by the village head.
Reportedly, the journalist said that it was the price for reporting the truth.
On Monday, police arrested all the three accused. As per police, the accused doused the victims with sanitiser and set them ablaze.
