UP: Man allegedly murders his girlfriend with butcher's knife
A women was allegedly bludgeoned by her lover in Uttar Pradesh. The accused would have escaped but one of her children, who saw the murder, locked him up and got him arrested.
According to The Times of India, The woman and the accused had been in a relationship for the last fourteen years. The woman's husband used to work in Delhi and she stayed in Brahmpuri with her 5 kids.
On the day of the crime, the woman refused to continue her relationship with the accused and that angered him. The accused then caught hold of a butcher's knife and killed the woman.
Following the murder, the woman's 12-year-old son locked the accused inside the house and called the police. The cops then reached the spot and took the accused into custody.
The victim's husband was also informed about the murder. The dead body of the was sent for autopsy. Akhilesh Narayan Singh, the Meerut SP (city) said, "The accused has been arrested after being booked under relevant sections of the IPC."
