UP: 5 members of family found dead in a house in Etah

Corpses of a five member family were found in a house in Uttar Pradesh’s Etha on Saturday, police stated. On receiving information that the body of a women, identified as Divya (37) was lying in the house of her in-law, police arrived at the spot to find four more dead bodies.

The other dead are Divya’s sister Bulbul (27), son Aarush (8), and another child. The bodies were recovered from the room.

The body of the women’s father-in-law 75-year-old Rajeshwar Pachauri was found in the second floor of the house, a police official stated.

According to the police there were marks on the neck of the women while sulphas tablets and a bottle of disinfectant were also found near the dead bodies.

Further investigation in this case is underway, police said.
