Tuition teacher molests 12-year-old girl in Pune

In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl from the Pune district of Maharashtra was allegedly molested by her tuition teacher.

The accused man has now been arrested by Pimpri-Chinchwad Police for allegedly molesting the child.

The incident took place on Republic Day (January 26) evening.

According to the police, the accused man threatened to harm the girl if she told anyone about the incident, according to a report in Indian Express.

According to the timesnownews.com report, the accused teacher allegedly took the victim aside and hugged her. Later, the victim narrated the ordeal to her parents who approached the police and filed a complaint.

Meanwhile, the accused has been booked under sections 354, 354 (b), 323, 506 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and other sections of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In Gujarat’s Vadodara, a tuition teacher was sentenced to life imprisonment for raping one of his students for three months. The victim was repeatedly raped by the convict in 2018 on the pretext of good marks.

The accused man had been booked under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. A Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act court jailed the man. He had also levied a fine worth Rs 13,000.
