Teen saves his 6-year-old sister from getting raped by neighbour

A 14-year-old boy saved his minor sister, aged six, on Saturday from getting raped by their neighbour in Mumbai’s Juhu. The 45-year-old accused was nabbed by officials from the Juhu police station under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and the POCSO Act.

As maintained by the cops, the boy and the girl were all by themselves at home when an error took place in their cable connection. The girl went to the neighbour’s house and asked for help. The children's parents, who were out for work at the time, share a good relation with the accused and his wife.

Allegedly, the accused took the girl inside and locked the door when she went to him asking for help. As per the police, he began misbehaving with the girl, while she cried for help. In the meantime, her brother came to her aid and saved her.

Later, the kids told their parents about the incident. The family then went the Juhu police station and filed a complaint.

While the procedure of filing the FIR was going on, police inspector Dattatraya Masvekar led a team to take the accused into their custody. The police managed to arrest him before he could flee. The Juhu police station lauded the work done by the 14-year-old boy to save his sister.
