Teen girl beats mother to death with griddle, here's the shocking reason

In a shocking development coming in from Noida, a 14-year-old girl allegedly beat her mother to death with a frying pan after she was scolded for not doing the dishes, Noida police said.

The girl was slapped with charges under Section 304 - culpable homicide not amounting to murder. She has been sent to a juvenile detention center.

On Sunday, the teen called her neighbours to her 14th floor apartment in Noida's Sector 77 saying her mother was hurt. The woman's gory body was found with head injuries. Neighbours rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead on arrival.

The victim was in her mid 30s and worked in the supply department of a firm in Greater Noida. She stayed with her daughter and had separated from her husband within 5 years of being together, the police said.

Senior Police Officer privy to the case stated, "The woman had asked her daughter to wash utensils. When the teenager did not do so, she scolded her, an argument followed and the girl allegedly kept hitting her on the head with a frying pan."

The police officer said that the teen at first told the cops that she came back from a walk to find her mother in a pool of blood.

But when police quizzed neighbours and looked in the the footage from CCTV at the apartment complex, they found no sign of any outsider's entry into the flat.

When interrogated further, the teen admitted that she had beaten her mother to death using a frying pan, police said.

The victim's brother lodged a police complaint against his niece, on the basis of which the FIR was filed. Police have also recovered the crime weapon (frying pan).
