Tamil Nadu: Teen mows down toddler while riding father's bike

In a shocking incident reported from Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore, a three-year-old child was killed after being hit by a bike driven by a minor boy near Mangalampet. Both the minor and his father have been taken into police custody.

Malarvizhi, the 3-year-old child of Govindaraj, a farmer from Pudu Adhandarkollai village of Vijayamanagaram near Mangalampet, Cuddalore, was playing outside the house on Monday.

All of a sudden, the child was struck by a motercycle which was driven by Kathirvanan, a 13-year-old boy from the neighbourhood.

Kathiravan, son of Sivaguru, was a Class 8 student and he had taken the two-wheeler of his father's from the residence towards their agricultural field when the unfortunate accident took place.

The three-year-old passed away on the spot when the motorcycle hit her. Upon being informed about the incident, Mangalampet Police arrived at the spot and took the girl's body to Virudhachalam Government Hospital for autopsy.

Mangalampet Police registered a case against the boy, Kathirvanan, and his father, Sivaguru. Both of them have been taken into police custody.
