Shocker: Rajasthan hospital ambulance transports footwear instead of patients; driver removed

In a shocking incident in Rajasthan, an ambulance meant for transporting patients was seen transporting footwear for traders.

Ambulance Ignores Patients in Dausa Hospital
The incident occurred at Dausa Hospital, where the ambulance was reportedly called to transport patients to another hospital. However, instead of picking up the patients, the ambulance was seen loading boxes of footwear into the vehicle.

Video of Incident Goes Viral
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism of the hospital administration. Many have expressed outrage at the callousness displayed towards patients who were left waiting for medical attention.

Hospital Administration Orders Probe
Following the incident, the hospital administration has ordered a probe into the matter. The ambulance driver and staff have been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. The incident has once again highlighted the poor state of healthcare infrastructure in rural areas of the country.

The ambulance driver with Dausa Government Hospital was removed from duty after a video went viral on social media showing the vehicle transporting footwear from Jaipur to Dausa.

Speaking to ANI on Thursday, the principal medical officer (PMO) of Dausa Government Hospital, Dr. Shivram Meena, confirmed that the ambulance driver, who was appointed by an NGO, has already been removed while a panel has been put together to probe the matter.

"If necessary, a case will be registered under relevant sections against the accused. This is a serious matter. It was brought to my notice this (Thursday) morning. I assure a proper inquiry into the matter," Meena added.
