Rajasthan: Woman raped at gunpoint; accused threatens of dire consequences

In a horrifying incident reported from Rajasthan, a tribal woman was raped at gunpoint. The woman was watching over the agricultural field when the heinous crime happened.

The incident is said to have taken place in an area which comes under the jurisdiction of Bharatpur police station. The accused had also allegedly warned the victim of dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone.

As maintained by Satish Varma, DY SP Bharatpur, the appalling incident happened on Wednesday with the tribal woman who used to watch over the agricultural fields. The victim has undergone medical assessments and the culprit has been identified.

It is quite apparent that there is no fear of law in Rajasthan. In another incident that was reported here on Wednesday, where a woman patient admitted to ICU at Shalby Hospital, was repeatedly raped by the ward boy. It is said that the victim had undergone surgery and was later kept to ICU.

The husband of the victim was told that he cannot stay on the hospital premises so he went back home. Next day, the woman narrated the painful experience to her husband.

According to the victim her hands were fastened and had a mask on. Also, she was threatened by the accused ward boy when she tried to apprise the nurse about the incident.

According to the police, the probe is underway and they are looking at the CCTV footage. According to DCP Pradeep Mohan Sharma, the accused has been taken into custody and further probe is on.
