Rajasthan receives heavy showers; check complete IMD forecast here

Several areas of Rajasthan received moderate to heavy rain in the last 24 hours, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on September 16. The weather office has also predicted that the state will witness a decrease in rainfall activity in the coming days.

Heavy rain was recorded in Bharatpur and Jhalawar districts, while moderate rain was witnessed in most parts of east Rajasthan, the Met department said.

Jhalawar district’s Dag recorded the highest rainfall at 68 mm, while Pali district’s Sumerpur recorded 24 mm of rain. According to an IMD spokesperson, the rainfall activity will decrease in most parts of east Rajasthan from Friday. Isolated parts of the state can receive light rain for the next 3-4 days.

However, the state can witness dry weather from September 17 to September 17 in most of its parts.

This year, the monsoon has been very good in Rajasthan and most areas have recorded above-normal rainfall.
