Rajasthan horror: School teacher allegedly rapes 11-year-old student

In a shocking incident reported from Rajasthan’s Karauli district, a school teacher was taken into police custody on Thursday for allegedly raping his minor student.

As maintained by the police, the victim, aged 11, who studies in sixth standard, went to school on Tuesday. When she did not return, her mother went to the school and looked for her.

The victim's mother heard the minor’s cries coming from a room which was locked from the inside. When she forced the door open, she saw the teacher with her daughter. The accused allegedly pushed the mother and fled from the spot.

The minor girl narrated her horrifying ordeal to her mother, following which they registered a police complaint against the teacher.

The accused teacher was taken into police custody on Thursday. He was charged under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

In the last three months, there have been four cases of rape and molestation of girls in Rajasthan’s schools.

In another incident of crime, police have taken a 19-year-old man and his friend into their custody for allegedly killing a woman as the latter suspected that she killed his brother. The accused has been identified as Karthik and the incident was brought to light from Tamil Nadu's Kamarajar Nagar

The matter became known when the woman's mother found her unconscious and alerted Kelabakkam police about it, as per the Times of India.
