Rajasthan: Female police officer molested, thrashed in moving bus in Churu

In a shocking incident, a female police officer was molested and attacked by a man in a moving bus in the Churu district of Rajasthan.

The man started molesting the female cop, and when she protested against this, the accused started slapping and thrashing her. Later, the conductor, passengers, and the bus driver intervened to protect the officer from the accused. The cop suffered serious facial injuries.

Police have arrested the man and a case has been registered under the relevant sections. Accused Suresh Kumar, a resident of Khasoli village, works as a ward boy in a district hospital. As per the preliminary probe, Kumar is a drunkard and usually misbehaves with people.

Kumar reportedly boarded the bus along with the police officer and touched her inappropriately.

According to the information received from the Kotwali police, the woman officer informed the senior authorities that she was going to her village on Tuesday in a roadways bus. At the same time, a passenger started molesting her in the bus. When she protested, the man threatened her and started thrashing her. 

A police officer is deputed to the Superintendent of Police office at Churu District Headquarters.

Police are investigating the matter.
