Punjab crimes: Father murders toddler in fit of rage after spat with wife
In a horrifying incident of crime reported from Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district, a one-and-a-half year toddler was killed by his father in a frenzy of anger after an altercation with his wife at his residence, police said.
As maintained by a Sub-Inspector, the accused, identified as Des Raj Sunil Kumar, who is a native of Uttar Pradesh and was currently living at a house in Guru Teg Bahadur Park, has been taken into police custody for killing his son.
An altercation between the accused and his wife happened over some issue on Tuesday, he said.
The accused's wife moved to leave the house in the night as the couple's son started crying following the fight.
In a frenzy of anger, Sunil Kumar allegedly threw his toddler son on the ground.
In another incident brought to light from Chhattisgarh's Bemetara district, a minor boy was stabbed to death allegedly by a 20-year-old man after the minor refused to indulge in unnatural sex with him.
The accused, identified as Pankaj Vishwakarma, had murdered the boy with a sharp edged weapon after taking him to an isolated area near Bijabhata Murum mine on Monday. After carrying out the crime, he ran away the crime spot, Bemetara police station official Prem Prakash Awadhiya said on Tuesday.
Later, police focused attention on the 20-year-old man after the child’s parents registered a missing complaint , he added.
