Pune man bludgeons wife to death, buries her body near house
A man, aged 30, allegedly murdered his wife after an altercation with her at their residence in Vakhari village in Daund taluka of Maharashtra’s Pune district on Friday. Following the horrifying act, the accused buried the victim's dead body near their residence. The accused was taken into custody by the Pune rural police on Saturday.
The accused, identified as Ramesh Waghmare, aged 30, is a daily wage labourer. As maintained by the cops, an associate visited Ramesh at his abode. The associate queried Ramesh about his wife. Astoundingly, the accused told him that he killed his wife and then buried her corpse nearby, a police officer said.
The accused (Ramesh) was taken into police custody and the victim’s dead body was exhumed. The accused, in the time of interrogation, told the police that an argument began between the couple over money.
Following this, he, in a frenzy of anger, bludgeoned her to death and later buried the corpse, according to a report by The Times of India.
In a separate incident of crime, a 40-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 32-year-old wife to death in Karnataka’s Bengaluru over suspicion of adultery.
The accused, identified as BR Kantharaju, doubted that his wife, identified as Roopa HG, was having extramarital relationships with her two male family members. His suspicion aggravated when he saw her dancing with the two during a family holiday, according to reports.
An argument erupted between the couple over the matter. The accused, in a frenzy of anger, stabbed his wife to death.
