Pulwama attack anniversary: BJP lambasts Rahul Gandhi for his dastardly remark
Shortly after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched an attack on Narendra Modi government on Friday over the grisly Pulwama terror attack which killed 40 CRPF soldiers. Incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lashed out at the Congress leader saying that he is making an outrageous comment on the first anniversary of the attack.
Lashing out at Rahul Gandhi, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra wrote, "That (Pulwama) was a dastardly attack. And this is a dastardly comment. Who Benefitted the most? Mr (Rahul) Gandhi can you think beyond benefits? Of course not. This so-called 'Gandhi' family can never think beyond benefits. Not just materialistically corrupt, their souls are also corrupt.”
Sambit Patra’s reaction came hours after Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and held the BJP government responsible and asked who benefitted the most from the attack? The former Congress President wrote, "Today as we remember our 40 CRPF martyrs in the Pulwama attack, let us ask: 1) Who benefitted the most from the attack? (2) What is the outcome of the inquiry into the attack? (3) Who in the BJP government has yet been held accountable for the security lapses that allowed the attack?"

As India commemorated the 40 CRPF personnels martyred in Pulwama, the Congress party launched an attack on the BJP alleging that the saffron outfit has been politicising the matter and has forgoten the families of the martyrs.
The Congress also demanded that the Pulwama probe be made public. Taking to Twitter, the Congress party stated, "After the election speeches and photo-ops, the BJP govt has completely forgotten about the families of the martyrs."
"They promised them jobs & compensation, yet 1 year after the attack the families are forced to beg the govt for what is owed to them," the Congress said while calling attention to the plight of the families whose sons were martyred in Pulwama.
All the more, Congress’ Shashi Tharoor also demanded that the results of the Pulwama attack probe be made public, "Why has the report of the Pulwama attack not been made public?" he tweeted.
The grand old party has alleged that under the BJP’s governance terror related casualties, infiltration across borders and attack on Indian bases have gone up. On 14th February 2019 Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber Adeel Ahmed Dar drove an explosive-laden car into a convoy of security forces, killing 40 personnel.
