Pathaan movie posters torn, burnt outside cinema hall in Bihar [WATCH]
Just before its release, posters of the movie 'Pathaan' were torn and burnt outside a cinema hall in Bihar's Bhagalpur on Tuesday. Bajrang Dal and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists protested outside the movie hall, tore the posters of the movie and raised slogans 'Film Chalega Hall Jalega'.
Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan is to be screened in Bhagalpur's Deepprabha cinema hall.
Here's the video:
"We won't allow the film to be screened. Film chalega toh hall jalega (If the movie is screened, then the movie hall will be burnt down). Pathaan movie will be boycotted across the country. The movie which insults saffron colour and Sanatan Dharma cannot be screened," the protesters clamoured.
"Hindutva cannot be compromised. Any element that opposes the Sanatan culture will not be tolerated in Bhagalpur including the whole of India," said the members of the Hindu group, adding that if Pathaan is screened in any movie theatres of Bhagalpur, it will be strongly opposed.
The manager of the movie hall, identified as Lalan Singh, said that some anti-social elements have burnt the poster opposing the film, reported ANI.
Furthermore, the manager added that an application has been given to the local police station and SP, and the administration has assured that security will be provided.
