Mumbai shocker: Teen stabbed to death for refusing to share wi-fi password

In a shocking incident reported from Maharashtra’s Mumbai, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death by two men for allegedly not sharing with them the wi-fi hotspot password.

The incident happened in Mumbai’s Kamothe area last week near a pan shop when two men asked the teenager, identified as Vishal Rajkumar Maurya, for his wi-fi password. Upon denial, the two accused started abusing him.

The argument between the three soon turned violent and the duo stabbed the teenager to death. The accused ran away from the scene after that but were arrested by the Mumbai Police within hours.

After being stabbed, the victim gathered himself up to walk a few steps, following which he collapsed. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

"A 17-year-old boy was murdered by two men for not giving them the wifi hotspot password in Kamothe area in Mumbai. The two accused stabbed the victim after a fight broke out between them," news agency ANI quoted Vivek Pansare, DCP Zone-1, Navi Mumbai as saying.

The two accused, identified as Ravindra Atwal aka Haryanivi and Santosh Valmiki, have been charged under Section 302 [Murder] of The Indian Penal Code.
