Mumbai: Man attacks delivery boys with broken beer bottle
In a shocking incident, five food delivery boys were assaulted by a man in Maharashtra’s Mumbai on Thursday afternoon.
According to mid-day.com reports, five food delivery boys were waiting on their parked bikes outside Malwan Kinara hotel at Markar Marg in Prabhadevi and were playing games on their cell phones. All of sudden a 35-year-old man attacked them with a broken beer bottle and left the boys grievously injured.
Reportedly, one of the boys received eight stitches on his hand while the other escaped with minor injuries.
One of the delivery boys identified as Ankit Vinayak Chandne (25), a resident of Madhusudan Mill chawl at Worli. He suffered critical injuries on his hand.

While the other victims have been identified as Vinayak Jadhav, Subham Sawant, Nikhil Kadam, and Omkar Aarde.
The accused man is identified as Dipak Tate who is popularly known as ‘Tattu’ bhai in the Worli area.
According to the police, the incident took place around 3 pm on Thursday when the victims were waiting for their delivery request on their respective apps.

One of the victims told that the man was allegedly drunk when he attacked them with a broken beer bottle. People gathered at the spot and saved them from the man. The injured man was rushed to KEM hospital where he received eight stitches on his hand, a mid-day.com report said.
Later, the victims have informed the Dadar police and registered FIR against Deepak Tate.
According to Zone 5, DCP Pranay Ashok said, the case has been registered against accused Deepak for attacking delivery boys.
However, he is absconding and will be arrested soon, Ashok added.
