Mumbai: Irked over wife's regular visit to her mother, husband kills mother-in-law

A shocking news was reported from Maharashtra's Navi Mumbai where a 28-year-old man slits his 45-year-old mother-in-law's throat for a shocking reason. The incident took place on Monday at deceased woman's residence and after killing her he fled from the spot.

The police received information about the murder and immediately swung into action. They started the investigation by scanning the CCTV footage and spotted a person wearing raincoat arriving at victim's (Rekha Sharma) house on Monday morning when her husband had gone to work. After seeing this police examined the call details and inquired with family members.

During the probe, police grew suspicious of Praful Siyali (son-in-law) and to be 100 per cent sure they further investigated where they found that he was the person who was wearing the raincoat.

On Tuesday police arrested the accuse who revealed that he was irked over his pregnant wife's regular visit to her mother's house. When he asked her not to meet her mother she refused him straightaway, following which in a rage he decided to kill Rekha Sharma.

Police have booked the accuse under Section 302 of the IPC.
