Mumbai: 45-year-old ward boy allegedly molests, threatens trainee doctor

The Mumbai police has taken a 45-year-old ward boy working with a state-run hospital into custody in Mumbai for allegedly molesting and threatening a trainee doctor.

The incident took place in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday when the victim was on the night shift and was going towards the patient’s ward in the hospital.

The victim was allegedly groped by the ward boy and forcibly held from behind who threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident.

The victim by some means managed to free herself and notified some of the senior doctors at the hospital who then informed the Dean.

The JJ Marg police were told about the episode and after the statement of the victim, a case was filed against the accused for outraging the modesty of woman, stalking and threatening.

The accused has been taken into custody by the JJ Marg police.
