Minor's tongue slashed after fight over petty issue turned violent
A 12-year-old boy’s tongue was allegedly cut off by his neighnours when a fight over a trivial issue turned violent. The horrifying incident took place Bulandshahr’s Khurja area.
What at first started off as a fight between two young friends, in a little while took a violent turn when their families got involved, according to report by Times of India.
From a heated verbal altercation, before long the rival sides started attacking one another physically. Following this, one minor's tongue was slashed and another suffered head injuries after being pushed.
Hardly able to speak, the minor boy who suffered an injury in the mouth said, "I haven't done anything." He alleged that his neighbours, Kuldeep and Sachin, attacked him along with his friends.
Three individuals have been charged under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code in connection with the case. While one has been taken into police custody, the other two still remain at large.
The minor boy is now going through treatment while the other boy who suffered head injuries has been discharged after first aid.
In another incident reported from Maharashtra's Thane district, a 17-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her cousin on several occasions following which she became pregnant, police said on Wednesday.
The 24-year-old accused was taken into police custody from a village in Bhiwandi taluka on Tuesday, an official from the district rural police control room said.
The victim and the accused, who is her cousin, lived in the same house and the latter allegedly raped her on many occasions, the official said.
The minor victim got pregnant and delivered a child in a hospital on Sunday, After which her mother filed a police complaint against the man, he said.
The accused was later nabbed and booked under Indian Penal Code Section 376 (rape) and provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, he added.
