Manoj Tiwari gets trolled for sharing US Navy photo on Indian Navy Day
Delhi BJP chief Manoj Tiwari on Wednesday made a major howler in an attempt to congratulate the Indian Navy on Navy Day. Tiwari on his official twitter handle shared an image of naval ship but unluckily missed a US flag on top of the ship. Twitter without any further ado underlined the gaffe and minced no words in doing so.
In the tweet, Delhi BJP chief had written, "I would like to extend my warm wishes on Navy Day to the brave and dedicated officers who devote their lives to national duty."
With these phrase, Monaj Tiwari has posted a picture of US naval ship with a US flag on one of them and the photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah and BJP working president JP Nadda on one side of the image.
Ruthlessly as it is, Twitter embraced the goof-up to poke fun at the BJP leader and instantly started pointing out the error.
PM Narendra Modi too tiped his hat to Navy Personnel on Navy Day, stating that their service and sacrifice have made India safer.
"On Navy Day, we salute our courageous Navy personnel. Their valuable service and sacrifice have made our nation stronger and safer," Modi tweeted.
He also shared a short clip on Indian Naval history. Navy Day is celebrated to mark the attack on the Karachi harbour during the Indo-Pak war on this day in 1971 by the Indian Navy.
