Man takes wife, daughter out on pretext of getting pet turtle; what happens next will shock you

A man in Gujarat was arrested after his foster daughter approached police and filed a complaint against him. She lodged a case after her mother and sister went missing after the man took them out to purchase a pet turtle.

Police arrested the man in the murder case of his wife and daughter on February 12.

The accused was identified as Sanjay Singh Ojha.

How case highlighted?

The 21-year-old foster daughter Saroj alias Reshma grew suspicious after she saw bloodstains on his father’s clothes.

She also asked about the stains, the accused Ojha claimed that he fell from his bike and suffered injuries.

When she enquired about her mother Simran and sister Sonia, the accused told her that they had gone to a relative’s house and would come back in the morning, the timesnownews.com reported.

However, Saroj grew suspicious of Ojha and had also informed neighbours about the same.

Following the incident, she approached the police and her father followed her as well.

During the investigation, police found that Ojha was addicted to alcohol and he often came home under the influence of alcohol, The Times of India reported. He also used to thrash his wife and suspected her of having an extramarital affair.

How Ojha killed his family?

On February 12, Ojha lured his daughter Sonia to buy a turtle for her from a nearby store.

However, the woman and her daughter didn’t understand the intentions of the accused man and went with him.

The accused man took them to a forest area and allegedly killed his wife and daughter. To hid the crime, he dumped the bodies in the long drainage pipe built by the Kandla port.

However, the foster daughter grew suspicious after Sonia and Simran didn’t return home on Saturday. She lodged a complaint against the man.

Meanwhile, Ojha has already been confessed to the crime during interrogation. While the bodies of the two women were fished out from the drainage pipe by the Gandhidham municipality.
