In a horrifying incident of crime, police took a man into their custody for allegedly murdering his wife’s lover with the help of his father in Sitapur. According to the accused the couple got married only in May this year, said SHO, Imaliya Sultanpur, Rajesh Singh.
As maintained by a report in the Times of India, father-son duo was taken into police custody based on detailed investigation and evidence.
During interrogation, the accused stated that he often used to see his wife talking to someone over the phone at night. He even claimed that his wife used to stay out of the house for long hours, which made him suspect her even more.
However, one day the accused allegedly caught his wife red-handed with a man, identified as Mohit in a compromising position.
At first, the accused didn’t pay much attention to the matter, which soon made him a subject of joke among his relatives and locals in the village.
Filled with fury, the man then talked through the matter with his father, after which the father-son duo made a decision to murder Mohit.
On Wednesday, the father-son duo called Mohit for a meeting at Golapur-Sitapur turn and used the opportunity to cut his throat with a sharp-edged weapon.
Afraid of getting arrested, the father-son duo then tied the dead body to their two wheeler and bumped the bike into a tree to make it look like an accident.
However, the victim’s autopsy analysis report, which came on Thursday, revealed it to be a case of murder.
In the meantime, based on shreds of evidence, both the accused have been taken into police custody.
