Man molests fashion designer after offering her role in Hindi film; sends her morphed images
In a shocking incident, a man molested and harassed a 42-year-old woman after offering her a role in a Hindi film. As per the victim, the man also threatened her by sending her morphed images.
The accused man identified as Rahul Srivastava, who is a native of Kerala. The woman alleged that Rahul took her screen test for a film role but he morphed her images into pornographic pictures. Later, he started threatening her with the morphed images by asking her to have a physical relationship with him, timesnownews.com reported.
The accused man and the victim were participants of the all-India Whatsapp group of people and the fashion industry. They know each other through the group. Srivastava offered a role to the designer in a film, which he claimed was being directed by him.
He called the woman to a hotel in the city’s Salunkhe Vihar area, where she had a meeting with a person named Sameer.
After a few days, Rahul Srivastav called her and said that Sameer was impressed with her work. He asked her to come for a screen test to Mumbai.

The woman told Srivastav that she won’t be able to visit Mumbai for the screen test due to COVID. Hence, they agreed for the video call conference.
The accused man allegedly took screenshots of the video and morphed them, according to a report by Pune Mirror

He then started threatening her with her morphed images and said that he would share it on social media if she refused to sleep with him. Later, he sent one of the images to the common WhatsApp group as the woman denied to fulfill his wish.
Following this, the woman exited from the group and blocked his contact number. However, he also sent her obscene images and videos from different numbers. She then approached the police after she got fed up with him.
Police booked Srivastava under the IT Act and sections 354 (outraging modesty), 354 (a) (sexual harassment), 354 (d) (stalking), and 509 (intentional insult) of the Indian Penal Code.
