Maharashtra shocker: Man smashes ailing father’s face with stone, slits throat

A 21-year-old man killed his 68-year-old father after being fed up with the latter’s illness, in Maharashtra’s Dombivali. Tired of Shyamsundar Shinde’s illness, Tejas Shinde first threw a stone at his father's head and then slit his throat with a knife while he was asleep.

Following the murder, the accused son himself called the police station and informed them that he had killed his father.

As maintained by the police, Shyamsundar Shinde lived with his wife and son Tejas in the Bhoirwadi area of Khambalpada in Dombivli. Tejas is a college student while his father used to work as a security guard in Mumbai Municipal Corporation.

“Shyamsundar Shinde has not been well for the last few months. Shyamsundar's irritability had increased due to illness. Tejas and Shyamsundar always had arguments and debates about this,” the police said.

Furthermore, the police said that an argument began between Tejas and Shyamsundar when the latter’s wife was not at home. While Shyamsundar fell asleep after the argument, Tejas was enraged and threw a stone at Shyamsundar's head. He then slit his throat with a knife.

Following the murder, the accused son himself called the Tilak Nagar police station and told the cops that he had murdered his father. Tejas was taken into custody by the Tilaknagar police. Tejas confessed his crime and the police arrested Tejas Shinde.
