Maharashtra shocker: Man kills father, stepmother, hides bodies in bed box

In a recent development coming in from Maharashtra's Aurangabad, a man allegedly murdered his father and stepmother and hid their dead bodies in a bed box. Police took the accused into their custody from a lodge in Shirdi and the accused will be produced in local court on Tuesday.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was under the influence of alcohol, after which he killed his father and stepmother.

Earlier on Monday, police found the dead bodies of a man and a woman from their residence in Gajanan Nagar. The accused bludgeoned the couple to death and even narrated a fake story to his sister.

The accused told the sister that his father had gone to other village and was not responding to his phone calls. The girl smelled a rat and became suspicious after her multiple calls to her brother went unanswered.

The girl then went to the house in a state of haste and tried opening the main door with the help of the neighbours but to no avail. She then went to the terrace and entered the house through a window only to find the bodies in a pool of blood. The bodies were found under the bed.

The locals in the area then alerted the police, who came into action and arrived at the crime spot. Police took possession of the bodies and sent them for a detailed autopsy.

Acting on a tip-off, Aurangabad Crime Branch arrested the accused from a lodge in Shirdi and brought him to Pundlik Nagar police station.

Police are now investigating the case to ascertain the motive behind the crime.
