Lucknow: 23-year-old stabbed to death, murder caught on camera

A 23-year-old engineering student was stabbed to death in broad daylight on Thusrday at Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area. The student, idnetified as Prashant Singh, had reportedly gone to see a friend in an apartment complex in the area when a group of 10-12 men , who was waiting for him, stuck a knife in his chest.

The CCTV recording of the incident displays a group of men stopping a car and attacking two men who are inside the car. Few seconds later, Prashant Singh dashes out of the car, while keeping his hand on his chest.

Prashant was found inside a pool of blood in the building. He was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Prashant Singh was from Varanasi and was pursuing his studies in a prominent engineering college in Lucknow.

According to the police, Prashant on Wednesday reportedly had a fight with his junior in college when he had gone to celebrate his friend’s birthday.

The victim’s friend has told the police that the junior in the college could be behind the killing.

The police are investigating the case and are interrogating students.
