Karnataka man assaults woman lawyer in full public view; video goes viral

In a horrifying incident reported from Karnataka’s Bagalkote district, a man was taken into police custody after visuals of him assaulting a female lawyer went viral on social media.

The man, identified as Mahantesh, assaulted a woman lawyer and her husband over a land dispute in broad daylight. A video of the assault has gone viral on Twitter with more than 500,000 views.

On the basis of this, Bagalkote town police have taken Mahantesh into their custody and charged him with assault. The woman and Mahantesh reportedly lives in the same locality.

Regardless of the video being just eight seconds, the visuals are brutal and horrific.

The video footage of the horrific act displays the accused attacking the woman with anger and force. The video begins with the man kicking the woman in her stomach and her reeling and taking a few steps back in pain.

The accused then proceeds to slap her hard a few times and the woman drops a few papers she is holding. The accused man continues to kick and slap her a few more times.

Police took Manthesh into their custody and said that he had attacked the woman because of a personal enmity regarding a civil dispute case.
