Jwala Gutta takes indirect dig at Saina Nehwal after Olympic bronze medallist joined BJP
Indian shuttler Jwala Gutta is well known for speaking her mind out in her interviews and on social media which is something her fans respect and commend but on Wednesday she put up a tweet which found no takers and was criticized by everybody.
Jwala Gutta took a sneaky dig at the Olympic bronze medallist Saina Nehwal after she joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Earlier, Saina and her elder sister Chandranshu Nehwal signed up for the BJP and cited Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a motivating force, describing him as a hard working leader who has done a lot for sports. Saina’s inclusion comes days before an important election in Delhi on 8th February, which sets the BJP against the ruling Aam Aadmi Party.
"Pehli baar Suna hai...bewajah khelna shuru kiya aur ab bewajah party join kiya," Gutta tweeted.

But the tweet didn’t go well among the fans who reminded Gutta of the number of titles and medals that Saina has won for India. Gutta then had no choice but to defend herself and justify her post to her fans.
With that being said, just 4 hours after this tweet, Gutta congratulated Saina on joining the BJP.
"@NSaina congratulations on joining the party...I hope and wish that u do something big for women and women sports in our country...YES it’s difficult but am sure u can bring a lot of CHANGE!! Good luck," Gutta tweeted.
Sania Nehwal dominated world batminton between 2010 and 2015, winning a gold in the Delhi Commonwealth Games, silver in the Jakarta World Championships and the bronze in the London Olympics.
